Yesterday was another AM milking shift since Elijah ran into a deer on his moped so he got injured and can't work for awhile.  Dan and I worked together all day so I could train.  We milked and did some daily tasks.  He took me around the farm and showed me the morning duties giving me more tips for how to do the job.  I love feeding the babies because they get so excited and go crazy...its pretty funny. We racked out their kennel and moved Poi (one of our bucks) into the big herd so the two ladies he's with can get a break from him.  He's the funniest looking buck...he's a lamancha with no ears so all his babies don't have ears either.  We also sold one of the babies from Pond.  Even though they're sold for meat goats one of the shop girls had a good point...she said she likes to spoil them the most because this is what their memory of life will be instead of ignoring them because it'll be hard to see them go.  After that we put more betadine on Kisses cheek and checked Conga's mouth for any infected teeth or abscesses...she's been having trouble eating but we can't find anything wrong with her mouth.  In the afternoon I swept up the barn and gave hay and checked waterers.  Pond's waterer was fun because that's where all the babies are and they were jumpin up on me.  I fed them some kiave beans to relax them a little.  Pepe (one of the babies we'll keep to be a buck for the farm for breeding) is getting so big!  His voice is dropping too.  After work Alicia, Erin, and I went to Mckenna to the beach.  It was my first time going to the beach and it was BEAUTIFUL.  I'm looking forward to it again.  By time I came home and made dinner I was already tired.  It's weird to go from staying up late and not getting much sleep in Alaska to going to bed super early and getting up super early and rested.

Today I woke up at 6:30 thinking it was my day off and was just hangin out with I was told I'm working afterall.  They had to change the schedule because I'll be doing the deliveries on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I can't have Tuesday off.  It was an ok day...went to the dump with Erin, did the daily chores, and milked in the evening with Ichelle.  Below's a pic of Sabrina my favorite goat at the farm.  Got to talk to Dad for a bit after work.   Alicia made a really delicious supper of chicken curry pot pie, seaweed asparagus tempora and broccoli.  After that everyone just kind of headed off to bed.  The social life here is much different than from Alaska when your surrounded by so many people.
