Monday I did a behind the scenes tour for a family from make a wish foundation.  The kid's wish was to see bears in alaska.  Of course only Patron from big bears came out but he did get to see Uli and Kuma playing as well.  He had a severe form of muscular dystrophy so he didn't want to get out often but I was able to maneuver the Yukon so he could still get some great pics and videos.  He did get out for Snickers though...there's something about Snickers haha.  I felt really special to be apart of that experience for them.  It even felt a little like I was just on vacation with their family for a couple hours.  They were really enjoying the center. 

Today it was cold, cold, cold!  The big bears didnt' even want to get out but they finally did after Erin revved up the 4 wheeler with meat around the exhaust.  Patrons been in a real good mood lately.  Usually she's doing her own thing and being a bully to Hugo (Patron is the dominant female) but she's been playing with J.B. quite a bit lately.  Hugos even been standing up for herself lately which is not usual for her either.  She still keeps her distance from Patron though.  Even though Patrons kind of a jerk she's my favorite brown bear because she's a diva and she's got such a personality.  I saw Kuma climb a tree for the first time today and I couldn't help but laugh.  He was so funny flopping down from the tree for some food.  I think I might adopt him before I leave the center.  Definitely the prettiest bear we have here.  

Tonight I'm doing a Cooper Landings Snickers presentation at the Kenai Princess lodge.  It's the first one I'm leading so I'm pretty excited.  Below are some pictures I took of one of the bull bison and a comparison of how big their bison chips are haha.
