Thursday was a relaxing day and I worked on my final paper for my undergrad classes at State most of the day.  Nothing too eventful happened and it was mostly a relaxing day.  Thursday night Mike needed us interns help with moving the moose into the elk enclosure and the elk into the moose enclosure.  It was so much fun.  The moose were fairly easy to move, besides Jack.  Jack is our 4 year old and tends to get cranky.  He even bluff charged Nicole.  He would rather be eating the brush.  This is the same Jack that got out weeks ago and gave us quite a time getting him back in.  We ran along Gilly and Nelson tappin them on the rump and pushing them kind of like horses.  The elk were a bit different, they don't like being near people so as long as they can see a path and not have to go near you it goes pretty smooth.  One baby got spooked and jumped right through the fence back into the enclosure.  Mom gave up and went with the herd but it was really neat seeing the mother/baby bond as she screamed and called for the baby, communicating with it from the new enclosure.  After chasing the baby around for awhile we were finally able to capture it and put it back with mom.

Friday Melissa, Christina, Claire, Jeremy, and I stopped at Girdwood to send some packages and then went into Whittier for a short hike.  I was really tired that day so even though it was an easier hike than Crow Pass it seemed harder.  We hiked Portage Pass.  It was BEAUTIFUL when we got to the top.  After that we stopped for the best fish and chips I've ever had at Varley's.  When we got home Claire, Jeremy, Christina and I met Johnathan at Moose Flats to relax a bit.  We also got a new sitka black-tailed deer fawn named Solo.  SO CUTE!  I want to take him home with me.

Today we had a full day in Anchorage.  This morning we visited Solo in his new little home.  He wanted to get out and play so bad but I think we're still working on his fencing or getting things ready for him.  After that Sarah, Marcie, Jeremy, Claire, Alexis, and I headed to Anchorage to drop Kara off at the airport.  On the way we saw the bore tide coming in with some surfers AND dall sheep up close on the Seward Highway (FINALLY!!).  I so wish we had some dall sheep at the center.   We also went and saw Magic Mike and did a little shopping.  O man, can Target be dangerous on the wallet haha.  When we got home I moved rooms since we're getting another new intern tomorrow.

Off to bed, early morning tomorrow. Goodnight all!
